The Northside Vikings played host Tuesday night to perennial volleyball power Hidden Valley, and the Titans left little doubt they will be one of the top teams in the area this season.
Hidden Valley, which reached the Group AA state quarterfinals last year, used their superior height to sweep the 3-game match by convincing 25-11 ; 25-17 ; 25-9 scores. With two players at 6’1″ and three at 5’10,” Hidden Valley dominated the play at the net. Northside made a brief run during the second game and had the score tied at 14 before the Titans closed out the game with a 11-3 spurt. The Titans rolled in game three to secure the match.
