Danny Goad, Vice-Chairman of the Botetourt County Republican Committee has announced he is seeking the office of Chairman of the Republican Party, Sixth Congressional District.
Goad has been active in Republican politics since 1992. He was elected to Hampton School Board in 1994 and has worked in many statewide and local campaigns. He is past Chairman of the Republican Committee in Giles County and Vice-Chairman of Hampton. This year in Botetourt County he helped garner 72% of the vote for Gov. Bob McDonnell.
As Chairman of the Sixth District, Goad says he will, “lead the Republican Party in advancing the principles of Limited Government according to the powers enumerated in the US and Virginia Constitutions in the spirit of the Declaration of Independence.” He also promised to actively reach out to Virginians that share these principles and have not been involved in a political party.
Goad is a Mechanical Engineer and resides in Botetourt County with his family. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech and the College of William and Mary.
