The City of Roanoke Department of Economic Development, the Roanoke County Economic Development Department, and Virginia Community Capital will host “iMarketing Workshop” on Thursday, June 22, at the Roanoke South County Library located at 6303 Merriman Road. The free hands-on, interactive workshop will take place from 9 to 11:30 a.m., and explores ways to navigate and discover many of the newest and best apps available for marketing and advertising to capture new leads and increase sales.
Topics covered will include the development of a marketing plan, the do’s and don’t of advertising and social media, and ways to market products and business through Facebook,Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, and other social media channels. If you wish to participate in this workshop, you must register at http://www.vastartup.org/blog/events/roanoke-imarketing-workshop. Again, this is a no-fee event.
The city and county economic development departments act as liaisons to forge partnerships between business and government, and foster stable economic growth in the two jurisdictions while providing continuous improvements to the quality of life for their citizens. Virginia Community Capital’s mission is to support housing and community development ventures, increase jobs, and build sustainable communities by offering flexible financial products and advisory services.
