Death comes to us all, but we still find it very difficult to discuss. What if there was a way to laugh and cry, and to enjoy a really good, award-winning movie that will open our eyes and help facilitate conversations about the inevitable?
Evergreen Memorial Trust and Good Samaritan Hospice will host a private screening of “Getting Grace” on the mainstage at the historic Grandin Theatre. The event begins at 7PM on Monday, February 28, 2022.
“Getting Grace” is a lighthearted look at a teenage girl’s struggle to come to terms with her terminal cancer diagnosis. She befriends a local funeral director to find out what will happen to her after she dies but ends up teaching the awkward man how to live a fuller life. Together, they learn to live life through death, blending a serious topic with touching humor. The movie, set in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania, was written by and stars Daniel Roebuck.
