The joy and wonder of Christmas to a child is captured in this remarkable photo-portrait taken by Roanoke Star contributing photographer Terry Aldhizer of 2 year old Molly Nester. Note the arching branches of the tree that frame the left side, bottom and top of the bulb perfectly and the depth of the elongated room that is accented and framed by the evenly spaced lights above. Molly’s reflection dominates the right side of the bulb and you can see the smiling curiosity in her eyes as she beholds the mysterious reflection before her. A wrapped present and bow can be made out in the center on a table and you get the feeling that Molly, who is holding the whole scene in the very palm of her hand, knows that this is surely the place where her Christmas dreams will come true. As of press time there were just 12 days left before Christmas (appropriately enough). We hope the days leading up to the blessed morning will be full of wonder and joy for you and yours.
