The RVLA U11 won last weekend’s SWVYL Lacrosse championship. The team is coached by Fourd Kemper, Walt Derey, Rob Ericsson, Eric Plogger and Jim Hale. Many of the kids on this team have been coached by Chris Stevens since they were in kindergarten, but Chris volunteered to step up to coach RVLA U13 this season.
In the championship, the RVLA U11 team prevailed in a very hard fought contest that went to sudden death overtime tied 3-3. RVLA U11 won the faceoff and scored 8 seconds into overtime to win. The team won games in pool play 5-1, 7-2 and 10-2.
