Roanoke Launches Community Engagement Week for Vision Zero Initiative

The City of Roanoke invites residents to participate in Community Engagement Week for Vision Zero Roanoke from August 5th through the 9th. This week-long initiative aims to gather community feedback on traffic safety and includes a series of Walk Audits, informal engagement sessions, and information tables at National Night Out locations.

Highlights of the Week:

Walk Audits
Four walk audits will be conducted in areas across Roanoke. The walk audits are open to the public; however, space is limited and preference will be given to Vision Zero Project Advisory Committee members. Open Community Engagement
Residents are encouraged to drop by any of the following informal sessions to ask questions and share their traffic safety concerns and suggestions.

Monday, August 5 at 5:00 PM – Big Lick Brewing, 409 Salem Ave SW
Tuesday, August 6 at 5:00 PM – McCadden Park, 1616 19th St NW
Tuesday, August 6 at 6:30 PM – Fire Station 8, 2328 Crystal Spring Ave SW
Wednesday, August 7 at 5:00 PM – Berglund Center Special Events Center, 710 Williamson Rd
Thursday, August 8 at 4:00 PM – Williamson Road Library, 3837 Williamson Rd
