Nick Reiner, 32, the cocaine addicted and schizophrenic son of famed Hollywood sitcom actor, prolific filmmaker, and multimillionaire Democrat activist Rob Reiner, 78, cold-bloodedly murdered both his parents with a knife, inflicting multiple stab wounds. This occurred while they were soundly sleeping in the master bedroom of their 10,000-square-foot mansion on Sunday morning, December 14. Nick Reiner’s premeditated and psychotic parricide was so hateful and horrifically bloody that he slit his parents’ throats.
Nick’s younger sister, Romy Reiner, 28, tragically discovered her deceased parents at approximately 3:45 p.m. She immediately suspected that her older brother Nick was the killer and telephoned 911. Unfortunately, her intuition was sadly correct.
The Reiners’ grisly murders were so horrible that they were one of the worst to occur in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles since O.J. Simpson savagely murdered his former wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and Ron Goldman on June 12, 1994.
I was always taught as a teenager and young man that if I did not have anything positive or good to say about someone recently deceased, my mother told me to be respectful, just be quiet, and say nothing in public. Apparently, President Trump did not receive similar advice in his upbringing as most decent Americans.
If he did, he foolishly ignored it.
Unsurprisingly, President Trump posted a lengthy and embarrassing Truth Social message on December 15 that partially stated, “Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away, together with his wife, Michele, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME [sic], …. He was known to have driven people CRAZY [sic] by his raging obsession with President Donald J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness, and with the Golden Age of America upon us, perhaps like never before.”
The only appropriate words in Trump’s entire quasi-megalomaniacal post were the first and last sentences, which I omitted. The first sentence stated, “A very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood.” The last sentence stated, “May Rob and Michele rest in peace!”
If the president had only posted these two sentences, that would have been perfectly appropriate and respectful. However, he did NOT do so to the chagrin of many Republicans and most Americans.
The president rashly and falsely concluded that Reiner “passed away” because of “the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind-crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME [sic], ….”
No, Mr. President, Rob Reiner was murdered because his psychopathic and long-term drug addicted son had a history of serious mental illness, drug addiction, relapse, and homelessness, which resulted in him having “been in and out of rehab about 18 [my emphasis] times since he was 15.” Rob Reiner and his wife tried everything to help their son that money could buy to no avail, despite spending $70,000 per month on drug rehabilitation.
According to the Daily Wire, Rob Reiner “had [recently] been placed on a new medication, which made him ‘erratic and dangerous’” for his schizophrenia. This tragically happened “three to four weeks” before he murdered his parents. I am certain that Rob Reiner’s defense attorney, Alan Jackson, will decide if this medication change will determine if “‘his client should just plead not guilty’” or to submit a “‘guilty by reason of insanity plea.’”
Rob Reiner and his wife did not die from “Trump derangement syndrome.” Mr. President, your oversized ego knows no bounds, especially in how you refer to yourself in the third person (illeism) like Julius Caesar or Napoleon. Rob Reiner and his wife most likely were murdered because they were going to force Nick into another stay in residential drug rehabilitation because of his serious schizophrenia and mental problems.
So, Mr. President, if you have anything negative to say about the horrific homicide of Rob Reiner and his wife in the future, just shut the h*ll up.
