The scoreboard didn’t say it all but Lynchburg Christian came away with the win last week after surviving four tough quarters with a tenacious North Cross team. LCA pulled out to a 13-0 lead but the Raiders put together an impressive drive that resulted in a touchdown at the end of the half that was negated by an illegal formation call. North Cross didn’t give up in the second half and drew closer on pass from Thomas Weaver to running back Evan Anderson in the third quarter that made the score 13-7. But LCA’s high octane offense proved to be too much for the Raiders who now face rival Atlantic Shores from Virginia Beach for Homecoming this weekend.
