ROBERT L. MARONIC: If I Were Trump, These Would Be My Preconditions For A Second Debate With Harris

If Vice President Kamala Harris wins the presidency on November 5, her administration will be a Biden White House redux or much worse, especially in foreign policy.

The mere thought of her negotiating with Communist China’s Xi Jinping, Russia’s Vladimir Putin or North Korea’s Kim Jong Un makes me cringe with fear. That also includes her domestic policy of socialistic Californication, which makes me cringe with even more fear. This was especially true when Socialist Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) used the mendacious Marxist-Leninist word “pragmatic,” which euphemistically describes blatant lying about her long-standing views against fracking, especially in Pennsylvania, before November 5.

The tragedy about Harris is that she accomplished absolutely nothing as vice president in the last three years and eight months. As a border czar, who unbelievably cares more about the border of Ukraine than the U.S., she has been an unmitigated disaster.

She allowed over ten million illegal immigrants to enter the U.S. with a total disregard for the rule of law. She allowed the sex trafficking or enslavement of hundreds of thousands of children and women every year into the U.S. She allowed vast amounts of fentanyl, a synthetic opioid far more powerful than heroin, manufactured by the Mexican cartels from imported Communist Chinese precursors, which is smuggled daily into the U.S. killing over 75,000 Americans annually.

Our southern border with Mexico is not secure.

When the presidential inauguration takes place on January 20, 2025 on the West Front of the U.S. Capitol, feckless Harris and the cognitively impaired Biden will have been directly and disgracefully responsible for the deaths of over 300,000 Americans from poisonous fentanyl.

When I watched Harris debate Trump for ninety minutes on September 10, I thought that she did much better than I expected. However, I did not think that she won the debate because the two ABC News moderators, David Muir and Linsey Davis, fact-checked “Trump at every turn [11 times] sometimes incorrectly, while ignoring Harris’ false statements entirely.”

In plain words, it was an unfair fight.

I felt that the debate was somewhat of a tie because Harris greatly overperformed while Trump slightly underperformed. However, if their debate had been a boxing match, I would have awarded a victory to Trump by a narrow margin because he was fighting a tag team of three people: his opponent and the two moderators or referees.

In my opinion, this is essentially the problem with Harris. She had to prepare for six days since September 5 holed up “in Pittsburgh … at the Omni William Penn Hotel for a ‘debate camp’ that [included] hours of ‘practice runs'” while Trump conducted routine press conferences, interviews, town halls and two rallies on August 30 (PA) and September 7 (WI) attracting tens of thousands of both Republicans and Independents.

There is no question that Harris is a classic memorizer or regurgitator. That is precisely her Achilles’ heel. She unfortunately has great difficulty thinking both outside the box and inside the box. Hence, that is when she spouts her convoluted word salads or intellectual nonsense, often ending with her embarrassing adolescent cackle.

How she graduated from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco in 1989 is beyond me, but both law schools and medical schools are full of memorizers, which is a problem that plagues all white-collar professions. She is clearly one of them.

Harris is a disaster at solo press conferences and interviews because SHE CANNOT THINK QUICKLY ON HER FEET. However, she does great when speaking from a teleprompter or script, but her nervous juvenile cackle is an indication that she needs much more time to answer a question if she can even answer it without going into Venn diagrams and circumlocutory explanations.

If I were Trump, I would require Harris to undergo two solo press conferences or interviews lasting sixty minutes with both Fox News and Newsmax. This would be fair because legacy news media CNN hosted Trump’s debate with Biden on June 28, and Disney-owned ABC News hosted Trump’s debate with Harris on September 10.

If these two press conferences or interviews were to occur, I suspect that there would be no need for a second debate. Harris most likely would perform disastrously because Madam Memorizer would not be able to clearly and concisely explain her domestic and foreign policies, and hence lose the presidency.
