Roanoke County officials invite the community to the 21st Annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Monday, December 9. This festive event promises an enchanting evening filled with holiday entertainment, crafts and activities for the family.
The celebration kicks off at 6:30 PM with a ceremonial tree lighting. Students from Oak Grove Elementary School’s After School for Kids program will add to the festivities by singing a selection of Christmas Carols during the ceremony.
Holiday activities for children and teens will be available, including tree ornaments, reindeer ornaments, a paper snow globe craft, balloon artist, guessing games and scavenger hunt. Enjoy light holiday refreshments, a cake walk and Cave Spring High School Jazz Band filling the auditorium with joyful sounds of the season.
Santa will make his grand entrance on a fire truck and after, meet with children to discuss their Christmas wishes.
